كميلة - First trip away from the United Arab Emirates

Hello, my name is Kamilah the Camel, pronounced CAR MEE LAH.  It is an Arabic name which means PERFECT or COMPLETE.  I usually write my name like this كميلة

I live in Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) with my four year old friend Meriana.  On Friday 18th October, I left the UAE for the first time with Meriana's nana, she is taking me to New Zealand to spend some time with  Whaea Josie and the Room 9 Rockets  at Te Kura o Tākaro.

I'm very nervous about travelling so far away from my home in the desert, but I am very excited to make some new friends and share in their adventures.

My friend Meriana has packed some goodies for me to take to my new friends. I hope you like them.
It is going to take me two days to reach New Zealand because I have to stop in Hong Kong and change planes.  I hope I don't get lost!
I will fly from Dubai to Hong Kong on Friday, that flight will take 8 hours and then on Saturday night I leave Hong Kong for New Zealand.  I will arrive in New Zealand on Sunday.

I think I will need to have a big sleep when I get to New Zealand so I'm not tired and grumpy when I come to meet Room 9.

Hopefully Meriana can see all my New Zealand adventures with the help of Whaea Josie and helping to keep my blog up-to-date.

I better go now otherwise I will miss my plane.  See you soon Room 9.
